10-Quart Versa Dutch Oven
A wonderful pot for cooking stews, Italian gravy, pot roast, etc. Cooks evenly on even low heat. Shortly I will be posting a You Tube video of me making my mother's recipe for Italian gravy highlighting the advantages of using Xtrema cookware. Thanks for introducing me to ceramic cooking!
How can there be this many reviews for a pot that isn't available yet?????
I'm gradually building my supply of xtrema cookware. I love every piece I've purchased so far. This pot is fabulous for making broth, stew and soup.
I am very happy with this cookware. It is heavy and bulky but very easy to use and it cooks evenly. I use it to cook big batches of soups, broths, stews etc. I love the fact that it is non toxic. I have other items from this cookware range and I am delighted with all of them.
I'm pleased with this skillet. It's my first time cooking with pure ceramic cookware. I purchased it with a lid so I could keep food warm and I'm glad I did. I've slow cooked an egg, warmed and fried food with it, etc. And it's so easy to clean it. Food slides off while using a non abrasive sponge. Food seems to taste much better than cooking in stainless steal and non-stick.
I am getting used to it as I use it more frequently love the easy clean up and almost totally non stick.
Right size, even heating, cleans up easily!
This skillet takes a couple of weeks to get used to, but it's worth the wait. Moreover, it's awesome to clean!
Great pan but wish it was non stick Even frying an egg in butter makes for a hard to clean mess
This pan is the perfect size for a couple of eggs or a grilled cheese sandwich. It is light enough for me to lift easily. And, I love that it is made from clean ingredients.
My first piece of Xtrema and so impressed. I can definitely say I will be buying more pieces. It cooks wonderful omelets and everyone enjoys the end product. It cooks beautifully for any other types of food.
I love using this pan for cooking eggs and omelets! I also enjoy sautéing garlic, onions, ginger, mushrooms and most for anything. I am confident and secured that no harsh materials are leaching on my food that's why I am switching to EXTREMA COOKWARES. Thank you Bill and Bob for designing and offering for sale the most outstanding, healthy cookwares one can find.
Cooks evenly and is the healthiest cooking medium! I love it
This is a wonderfully versatile skillet. Nice tall sides, goes in the oven, doesn't scratch... just all around great. Having the lid and the silicon handle is awesome too.
It's a fairly heavy pan, but not like cast iron. The biggest negative is that it doesn't seem to heat evenly. This becomes obvious when trying to cook bacon in it. I don't believe this is a function of the stove, but I can't rule it out either, I'm cooking on a 36" GE Monogram. I don't see this kind of disparity with stainless steel.
Also, my preference would be a 12" skillet.
I still love this skillet for 90% of what we cook, whether on the stove top, or in the oven.
I love this product. It’s healthy. It looks and cooks great. I’ll definitely be buying more cookware to round out my kitchen supplies.
I used the skillet for a cauliflower stir fry. The pan cooked evenly and the food tasted better than the stir fry from my stainless steel skillet. The lid is slightly loose, but it did steam the vegetables perfectly and faster.
I love it, it is so easy to use and I like knowing I am not getting toxins in the food I cook, and it is deeper than I thought and can use to cook vegetables in as well, I use it almost every night!
These are great. I have been researching how to make my kitchenware and dinnerware chemical free for over a year, got the tea pot off ebay a while back and was convinced to purchase more. Now I can say that 95% of my house is chemical free and I hope my kid does not break them lol.
This is a great small skillet to use to make sauces and cook small food items such as fish fillets. I also use it to lightly toast whole spices. I'm glad I bought this Braiser. I'm using it more than I would've thought!
Love it so far, just bummed that I can’t put a “meal for 2” frozen dinner in it because Xtrema says not to, so I’m having to use an old pan for that. That’s my only complaint...
Love my new pan, have used it several times, and am very happy with my purchase.
I purchased the 12 inch skillet several years. The pan itself was fine but it was too large for me and somewhat cumbersome/heavy to clean and store. Have been looking to replace it with the 10 inch for a while and decided to purchase it during the Black Friday sale. So glad I did! Love it! It is a better size for my glass stove top and I like that it doesn't have a long handle. I also have the smaller 7in skillet and use it every day. Thanks for making nontoxic cookware!
I have the 10-inch braiser and the omelet pan. I warm them over medium (or medium-high) heat with butter/oil, and have learned that food will not turn, easily, until it's ready to turn, until it has started to brown, for instance, then it turns easily.
I now only use Xtrema cookware, because I have to always support my non chemical life.
