Turkey Burrito Bowls with Rice

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder or flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 4 cups of rice
  • 7 cups of water
  • 1/2 cup of shredded cheese
  • 1 head of lettuce, sliced
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 cup of black or pinto beans
  • optional: avocado

Directions:

  • In a medium Xtrema skillet, brown ground turkey.
  • In a large Xtrema saucepan, bring the 7 cups of water to a boil.
  • Once boiling, add rice, and cook until done.
  • Once browned, add chili powder, cumin, paprika, onion flakes, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and 2 tablespoons of water to turkey. Mix well, add beans, and simmer on low for 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
  • Remove rice from heat when done.
  • Scoop rice into ceramic bowls, top with meat mixture, cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes. Enjoy!
