I love this pan, it’s very useful for roasting large dinners in the oven but it is much bigger than my stove burner so it doesn’t cook the outside portions, just something to think of when ordering.
Awesome!! Extremely happy with plans to purchase more
I love this skillet. It's not too heavy. Lighter than a cast iron skillet.
I love how my food tastes. It's easy to clean as well. I am a first time buyer and I am in love with the Xtrema cookware!
Ordered my first 2 pieces and 3 days later.... Ordered 2 more. Going to be expanding our set with these . Very nice pieces
I used the skillet for a cauliflower stir fry. The pan cooked evenly and the food tasted better than the stir fry from my stainless steel skillet. The lid is slightly loose, but it did steam the vegetables perfectly and faster.
I love it, it is so easy to use and I like knowing I am not getting toxins in the food I cook, and it is deeper than I thought and can use to cook vegetables in as well, I use it almost every night!
My wife and I love the skillet and will be purchasing more Xtrema Cookware
This is a follow-up to my previous comment just upon receiving this skillet. Though everything about this skillet's appearance, finish and construction is very good, the very reason I bought it for -- for my food not to burn or stick to the skillet -- sadly isn't there. Food gets burnt and sticks to the bottom EASILY and quite quickly EVEN if I use a low heat/flame and plenty of good quality oil or butter Once it happens, to clean it takes an arm and a leg. Following instructions to use Brillo pads, made issues even worse: the shiny surface got scratched and had gray streaks from the pad. To clean it I used an old advice given to me by a Cust. Service for my Koehler's white enamel kitchen sink: in order to remove metal scratches and marks in my sink, to use a wine cork for rubbing problem areas with either Comet or Ajax.kitchen scratch-free cleaners. I did it and only then did all the Brillo pads' scratches from the shiny surface of the skillet disappear. Next, contrary to what they say, that the skillet takes a long time to heat, it heats up VERY quickly and any oil/butter you add to it even on a small-medium flame starts to burn within 1-2 minutes max.. You have a false sense of security that though the skillet is big and heavy, it behaves like its cast iron counterpart. Absolutely not! Even though the food might not get all the poison leaking from Teflon, Nickel or other metals used in other brands skillets, food that gets burnt in my 100% ceramic is of little consolation. So, be aware of this fact when you weigh ecological goodness vs. possibility of having your dinner burnt. I thought that with a purchase of this unique skillet my search for a non-stick frying pan/skillet would be over, but sadly that was not my experience with this greatly coined, but still lacking kitchen utensil. So, it's with some reservations that I can recommend this skillet to prospective buyers.
I am getting used to it as I use it more frequently love the easy clean up and almost totally non stick.
Right size, even heating, cleans up easily!
After many years of cooking in cast iron I decided to switch to clay and discovered Xtrema cookware. I like the feel of the pan and the fact that it retains moisture well, plus the taste of my creations. While some scraps tend to stick to the pan, once it's cooled down I put in some dish soap and water and let it soak for a bit and it cleans up beautifully.
I absolutely love my new skillets, they are easy to use, non-toxic for my body, and very easy to clean!
This pan is perfect for cooking 1-3 eggs. I have had it for just under 3 years now and it's still good as new. It takes some getting used to, but you'll learn to love it. We cook eggs in butter with it on a gas stove on the lowest heat setting with the lid on. No flipping required, just cook til they're done. We also use it to heat up 1-2 portions of leftovers.
It's super easy to clean, even if some food gets caked on. If it's really stuck on, just soak for an hour or so and it'll scrub right off. It's pretty light because it's so small, which is great since I'm less anxious about accidentally dropping it. Love this pan!
Love my cook ware
This is a universal sauce pan. I use it for everything and love it!
2.5-Quart Traditions Saucepan
My go to pot for chili, rice and quinoa meals
Love this. I steam a lot of veggies in it and I notice a that my noodles don't have the metal taste to them. It provides me with piece of mind that there are no chemicals for my children and family. Both this product and skillet are very easy to clean. Just need to be patient and don't clean when item is hot. We let it sit out for awhile and then we clean it. Even with sitting out they are not that hard to clean. even cooking eggs was easy to do and clean.
Love the size. Great for everyday cooking.
This was an awesome alternative to cast iron which rusts over time and is hard to clean. Xtrema has a knack for quality and design. I enjoy using my skillet for specifically meat. I’ve learned that with the right amount if oil in the pan nothing will stick. Cleaning is an ease as everything just wipes off. A gem
I use this pan for small portions of meat. Using a good amount of oil will sear your lamb/chicken perfectly without having it stick. Cleaning is a sinch. Simply wipes off. And i feel good when i use this because i believe it is great quality. I have a gas stove which means very low heat is a must for the oil will splatter. Beauitfully done
I love my new skillet. Thank you for making them!
Still having trouble getting food not to stick but I bought it for health reasons and knew about food sticking.
Definitely one of my favorites--I use one or more of them every day! Love the oval shape--great for baking elongated veggies, etc. Up to 4 will fit on my oven rack at the same time, so really handy for baking individual entrees, plus they keep food hot longer on the table, due to their thick high quality. I also pre-chill them in the refrig & use to serve green salads. I've collected a minimum of 2 of each color so I could mix-n-match to create various fun/festive table settings!! Great design--very versatile!
Wanted to try ceramic pots and happy with what I got. Very stylish as well.
Great pan but wish it was non stick Even frying an egg in butter makes for a hard to clean mess
This pan is the perfect size for a couple of eggs or a grilled cheese sandwich. It is light enough for me to lift easily. And, I love that it is made from clean ingredients.
My first piece of Xtrema and so impressed. I can definitely say I will be buying more pieces. It cooks wonderful omelets and everyone enjoys the end product. It cooks beautifully for any other types of food.
I love using this pan for cooking eggs and omelets! I also enjoy sautéing garlic, onions, ginger, mushrooms and most for anything. I am confident and secured that no harsh materials are leaching on my food that's why I am switching to EXTREMA COOKWARES. Thank you Bill and Bob for designing and offering for sale the most outstanding, healthy cookwares one can find.
Twice I've tried cooking an egg exactly the way that was shown in the demonstration video. The eggs stuck to the pan and the pan was hard to clean. Totally disappointed, but I rewrapped it to put under the tree as a gift and don't have the original packing material. Otherwise I would love to return it. It was expensive too.
It's thick and perfect for cooking!
Have just begun to use the pans and it made perfect hard boiled eggs with no boil over, yes with the lower temp cooking does take longer and could be forgotten but if done while active in the kitchen one does adjust to this method
I've had this saucepan for 3 years now and love it! Planning to have it for as long as I can manage to not accidentally break it. I did put a tiny chip in the lip of it a couple years ago, but it hasn't gotten worse or affected my use at all. Besides that chip, it looks exactly as it did when I first bought it.
My husband and I use this daily, whether it's to heat up some bone broth or leftovers, or to make boiled eggs (6-8 fit well). We normally use it on very low heat, but of course use high heat to boil. It cleans very easily. Soaking it for an hour or two will help anything that gets stuck. I guess my only slight annoyance is that whenever you pour liquid out of it, there will be a drip to wipe up, but I'm so used to it now it doesn't phase me in the least. I only use wooden utensils with my Xtrema products, even though I know metal is okay too. Just feels weird!
We were looking for non toxic pans to replace our old ones and decided to go with these and I’m so glad we did! They’re perfect!
Perfect well rounded skillet. I use it everyday and love that it is safe for my family
We recently moved and the movers broke our pan but the lid survived so I purchased a replacement pan. It isn't a perfect circle so the lid I have doesn't quite fit on the new pan. We don't have a lot of money as a military family that moves every 3 years so I was trying to save money by not purchasing the set. Lesson learned: of you are replacing broken items, you will have to replace the set, not just the broken pieces if you want everything to fit correctly. Other than that, it performs great and I really appreciate the cleaning and care instructions that come with it. I prefer this 100 times more than any toxic non-stick pan and much more than the cast iron skillet my husband likes (which is also nontoxic but way too heavy). In short, if you want a nontoxic , non-stick pan this is the one to buy. It isn't as non-stick as teflon but it is much better than stainless steel.
This is my first xtrema pan and it does everything it claims to do! the very first thing I cooked in it had so much more flavor than ever before. Cooking low and slow is easier than high heat with a lot of spatter and odor. I bought it as part of removing toxins from my environment but this pan is also a joy for my taste buds. Bye bye old cookware.
I use this almost every other day. It Cooks food really well and gives me piece of mind knowing there are no hard chemicals going into food.
This 3.5 quart sauce pot is great . Perfect for anything even boiling pasta. Love this piece
I am so excited to finally have such quality cookware, and I feel so good about supporting my health and companies who care to provide the best products and service.
Not sure the cover is the wrong one or not. The cover just does not fit right. I am keeping the pot because the weight is light
I use this several times a week to make dinner for my husband and me. It cooks very well and is convenient for its stovetop/oven use. I like the size and shape of the pot as well as the look. Sadly after only TWO months a piece just fell off the rim while washing and now I'm afraid to use it. This was not an inexpensive purchase and I am gentle on my kitchen tools, so I'm feeling pretty frustrated.
I have 3 of these ceramic pots: a smaller one, this medium size (this one 3.5 qt), and a large one. I use them all constantly! They're fantastic. I ditched all my Teflon/nonstick pots and pans and switched to Xtrema after much research. I love love love that now I can cook for my family with cookware that is 100% safe and non-toxic. These pots hold their heat for a long time which is great for keeping food warm in case anyone goes back for seconds And if you accidentally burn food to the bottom, usually it scrubs right out without any problem after a little soaking. The only thing to be careful with is remembering these are ceramic... not metal like most pots and pans... which means they can break or chip if you drop them or knock them against something too hard. I'm not saying they are fragile. They are very solid and well made. You just can't treat them the same exact way you treat metal pots and pans - so it just takes getting used to. Tip: I store my pots stacked with padded pot liners/dividers so they don't hit each other.
The customer service was beyond exceptional. Bob answered all of my questions, and went above and beyond to get me what I want. He even provided me with the discount I had forgotten to apply. Working well so far, just getting used to the specifics.
For me this is a great size to gentle toast things like coconut, pine nuts, poach a single egg or reheat leftovers from a previous meal
4.5-Inch Traditions Skillet
Very sexy skillet just small enough to cook an egg. Perfect gift for egg lovers
Not non stick :-(
I have only used it to bake poultry and it performed well if the pan is oiled. The only negative is that the inside is NOT scratch resistant as advertised. After washing it with as suggested with a scrubber there are scratches and on it.
3-Piece Bakeware Set
Very pleased with my purchase.
I love this Xtrema pot. It is easy to clean. I'm in love with Xtrema and keep ordering more. I use this for pasta sauce and soup. It's also great for heating up peas. I run the frozen peas in warm water through a strainer before putting them in the pot.
This is a great size. Use it almost daily and love the product.
Perfect size to reheat food for 1 or 2 people. Love it!
The mugs are beautiful, and the color red is the same as the photo on-line. I also like the weight of the mugs. I received them on time, and was given notification on my e-mail. I'm considering ordering other products from xtrema.
16-Ounce 4-Pack Mug Set
Love the fact they are TOXIN-FREE, over-sized & can even be heated in the oven, plus they are available in different colors. (Would make great Xmas or birthday gifts, given as a set, or individually with treats stuffed inside!) Don't know of anywhere else offering good quality, good-looking, guaranteed safe & toxin-free ceramic mugs to share with people whose health I care about who like hot tea or coffee.
Still testing, and so far so good!
I haven’t cooked much in my new dishes yet, but I am happy with what I have made. Cooking scrambled eggs wasn’t too bad, but over easy needs some practice.
This was actually more of a "completer set" for me since I already own the 12" and 10" Braisers, the 2.5 qt and 3.5 qt Versa pots, and the 4.5" One-Egger skillet. I love them all. In my 50+ years of cooking I have used the original Corning wear, Revere Ware, a teflon pan, cast iron, Le Creuset, a green pan, and a steel chef's pan.
I believe that Xtrema is THE BEST of all those other types of cookware I've owned over the years. I only wish it was available when I first started cooking! Yes, you have to be careful with it, and it heats differently if you're used to using metal pans, but oh, it is so much safer to use than pans that will flake their coatings over time (even the enamel coatings on Le Creuset!), or wear down because of acidic foods or scratching from utensils. And Xtrema is so easy to clean! Mine all look brand new, even the ones I have been using for 2 years. Their mirror shiny surfaces look the way they did when I took them out of the box, with nary a scratch on them, and I use them every day.
Just be sure to read the directions for use and the tips on the sheet that comes with the cookware, be careful with them so that you don't bang them into something or drop them, and you will have SAFE cookware that will last the rest of your life!
I love the tea kettle! Heats up and then stays
I really love the kettle.. I makes me feel good that my hot water is free from BPA lead, heavy metals and other chemicals released from all those hot water kettles with plastic parts and metals
I have tried to eat healthy and even thought I was cooking on the right cookware, until I read and article and was introduced to Xtrema for cookware and teapot. I purchased the Versatility Set and team Pot and am glad I did. These items are both practice and beautiful. I now know what to give my family for Christmas.
Well I have always used quality stainless and recently cast iron, so I could immediately taste the food only without the slight metal taste, delicious! I am slowly replacing all my cookware. I'm very pleased.
I steam my vegetables every day and am very happy with this steamer. My vegetables seem to even taste better than using stainless steel.
When I didn't get a piece of a 3 piece set, an entire new set was sent instead of the 1 piece. I'm happy.
I am so excited to find Xtrema. I wanted to find the healthiest cookware and I love everything about it - even the website and all the recipes and tips! Thank you Xtrema
This is the only cookware I use now. Can't wait to get more
I now only use Xtrema cookware, because I have to always support my non chemical life.
I was very happy with my 10" Ceramic Versa Short-handled Skillet. I especially love that it is healthy cooking and does not leach and unhealthy chemicals into the food I am cooking for my family. Although it is not non-stick, it is definitely less-stick and is easy to cook in. It is also very easy to clean! I am happy with this skillet!
This is my first piece of cookware from this company. I love the versatility of using the Xtrema skillet on the stove, in the oven and microwave (although I'm phasing that out due to health risks). It is dishwasher safe, but thus far I have hand washed it. I'm having a bit of trouble using it on our gas range top. Our gas flame doesn't go very low, even on the lowest setting, and it ends up over heating the middle of the skillet because that is where the flame is on lowest setting. This makes it tough to clean once the food is stuck. I don't really find it to be "non stick" for this reason. Perhaps I am doing something wrong? I love it otherwise, and hope to get it figured out so I can build a set of different sizes and types of pans and bake ware. May I suggest a sauce pot that has an insert for steaming, and a baking sheet for cookies, fish, etc. I have Pampered Chef stoneware flat baking pans, but they are super heavy. I was hoping to see them here. Also a square, flat fry pan would be great, for pancakes, french toast, grilled cheese, etc. Thanks!
I have made several meals in this skillet since purchasing it a few weeks ago. I have never had this type of cookware before so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Our meals have been delicious and we can feel good about toxins/metals not leeching into our food!
After using nonstick cookware for several years, I had an "ah ha" moment recently when I realized that I was shooting myself in the foot by cooking healthy, organic food for my family in unhealthy pots and pans. Thankfully, I happened to read a blog post by Wellness Mama giving Xtrema a positive review, so I checked them out as well as several other companies/products . . . mostly stainless steel products. I started saving up money and after much research, decided to go with Xtrema, despite reading some negative reviews. I'm SO glad I did! If you were to switch straight from nonstick to these pots and pans, I can see why people are disappointed. There's a learning curve . . . cooking takes a little more time and thought. Personally, I am very happy to spend a few more seconds cleaning or wait a few minutes for the skillet to heat up in exchange for no more toxins! And actually, after practicing a few times, my eggs really don't stick that much. This skillet is extremely versatile and is very easy to clean. It's my "go to" on a daily basis. I have only had it for a couple months, but I look forward to using it for many years to come. I would also note, that I've been learning to cook on cast iron pans for a couple years now along side the nonstick I've been using, so that helped ease my transition to using ceramic. The benefit of Xtrema vs cast iron is the cleaning and upkeep is much easier! I'm grateful I spent the money to make a healthy switch for my family!
A wonderful pot for cooking stews, Italian gravy, pot roast, etc. Cooks evenly on even low heat. Shortly I will be posting a You Tube video of me making my mother's recipe for Italian gravy highlighting the advantages of using Xtrema cookware. Thanks for introducing me to ceramic cooking!
How can there be this many reviews for a pot that isn't available yet?????
I'm gradually building my supply of xtrema cookware. I love every piece I've purchased so far. This pot is fabulous for making broth, stew and soup.
I am very happy with this cookware. It is heavy and bulky but very easy to use and it cooks evenly. I use it to cook big batches of soups, broths, stews etc. I love the fact that it is non toxic. I have other items from this cookware range and I am delighted with all of them.
I love this Dutch Oven, but it is so large! I should have measured my stove top first before ordering this because I can't use it for everything I would like. The stove top burner is not big enough to heat the whole bottom of the dutch oven. However, I did make a very big batch of chili in it recently and it worked out well! So I am still glad that I bought it.
Got them for health reasons. Food stick when pan fry but comes right off with a little soak so washing is easy. It takes a long time to bring any liquid to a boil. Having stated all that, I’d still buy them because I would put up with the inconveniences to make sure my food is healthy.
8-Quart Versa Pot
We have enjoyed this cookware, and are getting used to using it. In fact, I have just ordered more--including a 1 quart sauce pan--because the handle broke off. This cookware is breakable, as the manufacturer points out. Durable?? We'll see. My cooktop oven doesn't seem to get as messed up with the cookware. The cookware, from my point of view, is not as easy to clean as touted in the advertising, but not bad. Not as "light weight" as touted in the advertising, though the weight is included with each item if one looks. HOWEVER, the food is really good, an obvious difference to us. That's what counts!
I ordered this silcon potholder set along with my 11" Wok. Even though the wok came with a silicon holder on the long handle, I always like to have extras around. The smaller potholders fit the small handle grip on my wok just perfectly. These are very well made and durable products. These potholders really help protect my hands from the heat when I'm cooking with my new wok! I would expect them to last for a long, long time. Highly recommend this product!
These are great. I have been researching how to make my kitchenware and dinnerware chemical free for over a year, got the tea pot off ebay a while back and was convinced to purchase more. Now I can say that 95% of my house is chemical free and I hope my kid does not break them lol.
This is a great small skillet to use to make sauces and cook small food items such as fish fillets. I also use it to lightly toast whole spices. I'm glad I bought this Braiser. I'm using it more than I would've thought!
16-Ounce Traditions Saucepan
I use this sauce pan for reheating tea in small batches on med heat. It's a sauce pan to hold but pouring from it is challenging. You need to rush the liquid contents out quickly and precisely to avoid a major spill.
It seems to work fine, all I've done so far is heat water. I have to give in a few stars off however for poor design. The lip is so huge and thick that to slowly pour water out of it is a disaster. The water runs down the side of the pot. If you want to pour the water out without making a mess you have to basically dump the water out all at once, which still ends up splashing water everywhere.
XTREMA COOKWARES IS EXCEPTIONAL BECAUSE HAZARDOUS METALS AND MATERIALS DO NOT LEACH ON THE FOOD. EVEN GOOD STAINLESS STEEL COOKWARES CAN BE A RISK IN LEACHING HAZARDOUS METALS ON THE FOOD. THERE IS NO OTHER COOKWARE THAT I USE, JUST XTREMA COOKWARES!
My husband and I were looking for "safe" cookware to replace our stainless pots that may have contained nickel. We are very happy with our purchase - very easy clean up! Even when the oatmeal is overcooked!! We started with this less expensive pot and quickly returned for more cookware.
I love all this pizza yellow cover besides other Xtrema cookwares because no hazardous metals leach on the food.
Wonderful product? So why the 3 stars? The bottom of the pan at the center is elevated into a small dome and the oil runs down to the inside outer edges of the pan making cooking foods more difficult for not to get scorched, unless you are constantly stirring it. So frying chickens, steaks or anything that sits in one spot makes for an unpleasant outcome. PLEASE MAKE THE BOTTOM OF THE PAN FLAT!!!!
It's nice but even after following instructions, my eggs stick. Another thing is it is heavy and good luck if you're trying to pour the contents of the pan into a bowl or plate. You can't hold it. You have to be extremely careful with this product. It can crack so easy and because it's heavy and awkward, you can crack it easy in your sink washing it. Otherwise, it's a nice piece of cookware. It is pretty easy to clean and nothing seems to scratch it. Yes, I would recommend it, however with reservations. Also, forget trying to get a collection of all matching items. Colored items only come in certain products.
I was impressed with the prompt delivery.
I have many pieces of the cookware, and now finally have matching balls. I love them. They're heavy strong, match perfectly. Very carefully and arrived all in one piece. I would love to get smaller bowls that match as well but on the website yet. Matching place would be great too.
The picture doesn't do these bowls justice! They're so beautiful! I love them! They look high-end.
Healthy, and safe food and cook
This is the perfect size pot when I want to reheat some soup or stew for my husband and myself. Food taste sooo much better in Xtrema pots. We can immediately taste the diffence when a meal is cooked in any Xtrema cookware vs stainless steel cookware.
Been using Xtrema for years. When it first came out. Clean healthy cooking. Takes a little getting used to but once you do you’ll never go back. We have complete set including kettles. Love it. When the pieces started getting chipped and cracked (they will!) we tried to go back to stainless steel copper designer cookware but it was heavier and didn’t cook as well. So we are just replacing as we need. And customer service is five stars. Love these guys and their products. Thanks Xtrema!
Love my Xtrema Wok!
I love this wok. My only regret is I wish I had purchased it sooner. These pans are environmentally friendly and thought to be safer than other materials (such as Teflon) because it is free from chemicals. I paid a lot of money for a top-of-the-line stainless steel skillets and I have to say that I am getting ready to donate them. Everything seems to stick in the stainless which is a real bummer. I've been using this wok for several weeks now and nothing has stuck so far. I am waiting to purchase the new 12 inch skillet it's still on pre-order. The only thing I'd like to see with the new 12 inch skillet is a lid to go with it. But in all I am very happy with my purchase
The skillet sticks, so I soak it for a little while and then clean in with a brush and then end up with steel wool. No worries using steel wool on this one. Cleaning for me is really easy, but if you are used to cleaning from a non-stick there is a little more elbow grease with this one!
I have used this wok repeatedly since receiving it three weels back. Food tastes absolutely delicious. I always look forward to a wok made dinner.
I use the wok to fry up quick dinners after I come home from work. I heat it up with some oil in it and then I quick fry up onions/carrot/celery and add fake meat or tofu. I dump that into a bowl, fry up veggies quick with the remaining oil, and then mix it all together. The wok is excellent at heating up food because the sides are also offering heat. It's a nice convenient size for medium to medium-large dinners, I'd say, and it's super cute.
I’ve been looking for something more natural to cook in. This caught my eye. I thought I’d try ceramic. I’ve used it in the oven. So far, I love the the teapot! Still figuring out the pan. I’m sure it will get easier as I continue to use it. And I like it better than glass! As well as no chemicals!! That is a real bonus!
Had a problem with an order at another site but it was Xtrema product. Not only did they help me purchase another product but I ended up getting a better product more to my liking. Very prompt turnaround time they basically walked me through the order and i had it at my house in days. Thank you!
Once I used the short handle utensils, they became preferred over ones with long handles. Both my daughters love them too. Unless cooking in a deep pot, these are my go-to utensils.
I have cooked stir fry and fried things in it and so far, I like it. Sometimes, bits of stuff get stuck on it after cooking and it is hard to clean off though. Also, I do not like that you have to use certain kinds of utensils on it and cannot use steel forks, etc.
Absolutely LOVE the design and quality finish of these cooking icons There is nothing as good as these. Just follow new cooking guidelines and it becomes a habit very easy. Really great results, fantastic light weight. Amazing heat retention. The best caking product after my Instant Pot.
I feel the ceramic is the healthiest way to cook, very easy to clean/maintain, attractive
A work of art. Beautiful
I had agonized over leaving a 3 star review earlier, but I did it. Now I know I should have called the company before I did that (and now I don't see a way to change my earlier 3 star rating to 5 stars, sorry Ceramcor). SO, I was promptly contacted regarding my issues of sticking and burning. I use gas and only cook on low heat (like a 1 or 2). However, I've had issues. I have now found out that using liquid oil on things like eggs isn't going to work as well as using a spray oil. On very low heat, heat pan for 3 minutes then spray on oil (evidently this is the same for metal pans). While I dislike and never use spray can anything, and coconut oil spray is very expensive, I shall try that and see if it solves the issue. I still love that I am cooking with non-toxic cookware. I hope to no longer burn /stick food. Ceramcor also guaranteed that if I see any scratching from cleaning with baking soda and a brillo pad (first scrub with both dry, then use plastic or wooden scraper to dislodge anything and then use water to finish scrubbing/rinse), that they will replace my pots. I am going to go give them a good hard scrub right now. Thank you Ceramcor for such great customer service! I apologize if I didn't see on your website the tip of spray oil, as well as the guarantee of no scratching, too. I'll believe you now. All the Best!
These containers are great for storing ice cream. I don't eat ice cream that often, so it sits in my freezer for months. I don't like when I open the container and there is a thick film across the top and it's covered in ice crystals. I end up scrapping an inch off the top. I decided to put it in one of these containers and two months later the ice cream looks just like the day I opened it. No gooey film, no ice crystals!
Use this on the stovetop and in the oven all the time. Especially like it for cooking bacon and heating up tortillas. Makes great grilled sandwiches, too. Oh, and pizza.
steam fresh veggies. I do wish the handles were longer.
I use this pan for grilling meats, chicken and vegetables. I have only great things to say about this product. This grill pan helps me make nutrient dense and delicious meals quickly and easily. All it takes is a small bit of olive oil, spices, salt/pepper and perhaps a bit of lemon.
I was hoping to love these, since I've been looking for grippy oven mitts for some time now. The quality was good and I love how they look, but they are so big! They were very loose on both my husband and I. We have pretty skinny hands, but long fingers (we always get size L for kitchen gloves). The width of these is the problem though, not the length.
At the widest point from side of pinky to side of thumb, my hand measures 4" wide and my husband is 4.5". The mitt measures about 6.5" wide at that dimension, and the fabric material is pretty thin so there are 2" of room in the glove. The fit is so loose that I wouldn't be able to pick anything up safely. Sadly am returning!
I am so happy to be able to use such fine cookware. All excellent products! Who wants to eat poisen that leaches out of other cookware??
I use the Xtrema cookware daily. It cleans easily, cooks evenly. It is a little on the heavier side than other cookware, but that is because it is not made out of light-weight aluminum which is not what you want to place your food for a simmer.
The only thing I would add to instructions is that coconut oil is the best to use as it withstands heat better. I really feel like my dishes turn out tastier because of cooking with your product.
These really are fantastic pots - I bought them because Xtrema is the only company I could find that revelas independent tests on the pots so I know they are heavy metal/toxin free. I really really really wanted to get away from toxic pots/pans - which even emit toxins into the air and not just your food! These pots are the safest I could find. They also come clean after you use them with minimal wiping. The only weird kinda negative aspect is that my mom and I notice a slight smell when they are cooking - at first I thought it was something burned onto our stovetop (we have one of those glass stovetops) but I think its coming from the pot. I contacted the company and was put in touch with someone named Bob who said he's never heard this before. I figured the only thing that could be emitting an odor is the "XTREMA" brand mark on the bottom of the pot - he told me it's lead free. That wasn't my question! My question was "what is it made of?" Maybe that's just how ceramic pots smell? We never had ceramic before. So I'm not sure where the smell is coming from or if it's related to the brand marking on the bottom or not but I didn't feel I got a good answer from Bob. On the flip side - I'm still convinced these are the safest pots you can buy. Maybe I'll get an answer one day! For now I'm still using them and they work great.
I love my cookware. I have wanted healthier cookware for a while and after much research I decided on Xtrema. My husband surprised me with the cookware for Christmas and I use it every day, whether it is making an omelet, a stew, spaghetti and meatballs or baking a chicken. The pots are so versatile! I confess that I spend a lot of money on organic, pesticide and GMO free foods and I am ecstatic that I can cook them now without harmful toxins leaching into the food. If you care about your health and the health of your family then this cookware is well worth the money!
I do love this product which is why I purchased the 10qt Dutch Oven and 12" Open Skillet as a combo sale item as I was delighted with my previous purchase. Both items have defects which I understand happens but there are points on each where the black coating has not covered the underlying product. For the price…I would expect better. I am not so sure I would purchase this item again. I would recommend but with a caveat that for the price it isn't what one would expect.
The stew pot and large pan are terrific. Both retain heat for a long time with the lid on, so seconds stay warm. Hope to buy more pieces in the future!
The wok is very useful for stir-frys.
Slips on the pots and pans very easily and don't slip off!
I use this product now whenever I cook with all my cookware and know that my hands are safe.
The Versa pot handles can get too hot for me to hold, and these silicone holders work very well to protect my fingers from the heat.
We use them to cook, store in the freezer of fridge, easy to clean! Takes up very little cupboard space. Very pleased with this product.
I finally find containers for food that I can easily carry for lunch or snack that are nontoxic and biodegradable. After you are done, it folds easily in the bags. It's also very versatile so I can use it in the fridge, oven and freezer. It's exactly what I was looking for. It's easy to use for children as well.
Cook for my picky 11month baby. It is just the right size. And food come out delicious .
this little cute pot, I use it for morning oakmeal cooking.
These crocks are perfect for reheating a meal. The lid and the ceramic retain heat so the meal stays warm. They go from the fridge to the low-heat oven to the table as bowl.
They are too cute! I love how practical the size is. Most of the time I'm warming up my own food which I don't need a large pot for and I don't need to pour anything out into a different bowl! Handwashing one thing instead of two, and something small instead of larger works great for me.
16 oz crock is great for cooking and storing. Cooking greens in this works well because of the high sides, which allow for lots of greens to be added and cooked down. Any leftovers can go into the refrigerator. 4 crocks make 1/2 gallon of yogurt in convenient-sized crocks. I also used the 4 qt matching crock to make 1 gal of yogurt and was very happy with the ease of making, then storing. But, with the small crocks, as I use the yogurt, i would free up space in the refrigerator. I also am a lover of hot chocolate and mocha latte. I melted dark chocolate easily in the crock, then mixed with some organic non-fat milk and some coffee, making a kind of thick liquid to spoon into hot milk, coffee, or yogurt, to really speed prep time, and did not have to lose precious ingredients or time transferring from the crock to a storage container.
My wok is complete with a cover. I love it! The food stays warm when the wok has a cover.
I'd had my Xtrema wok for at least a year before this well-fitting kid became available. We're delighted with it! And with customer service.
I purchased 4 sets of these mugs: black/white, white/black, blue, and red. They are so lovely that I am coming back for the apple green! The photos do not do them justice; they are so much more beautiful in person! These mugs are the perfect size for a cup of tea, hot lemon water, or coffee, and are beautifully finished with a high-polish interior and exterior. The handle is perfect too! They wash beautifully in the dishwasher, or by hand. These mugs a very versatile; I use them not only for hot and cold beverages, but for serving smaller portions of food, such as pasta and potato salads, and desserts too! Most of all, I appreciate the integrity of this company making available lead-free products that I can feel safe purchasing, using, and sharing with family and friends. Thank you Ceramcor!
Love the oval shape and size! Perfect for roasting asparagus and other vegetables. Much more beautiful in person! Perfect match to the mugs and cookware! Love that they are heavy metal free!
This was the second teapot I ordered. The first had a sharp edge that looked to be a manufacturing defect, so I requested a replacement. This teapot is very heavy. I use two hands to lift it. It also gets very hot, including the handle and I need to use pot holders to touch it. It does not whistle to let you know it's boiling. The most concerning part was when I noticed debris in the water. I opened the teapot and saw the bottom surface was slowly chipping away and the ceramic coating was in my drinking water.
Best teapot until cover broke. Replacement cover only fits current year pot. Now I have a teapot without a cover.
